Welcome to the Healthcare Excellence Academy Lab School - where we are establishing an academic pipeline for preparing future healthcare professionals to meet the healthcare workforce needs in Southwest Virginia. Our lab school is designed to inspire and equip SWVA high school students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to explore careers in the medical field. 

Our staff believes in the power of learning by doing and not confining students to textbooks. Whether your student aspires to be a doctor, veterinarian, nurse, or surgeon, we strive to provide the foundation that they need to shape the future of healthcare. Through hands-on learning and shadowing healthcare professionals, our students gain real-world insights to the medical field that prepare them for success in college, graduate school, and beyond.
